Mystery Of The Golden Plates

It was normal day. I woke up feeling fresh and happy. “And I don’t need to take bath as I am already fresh”, I thought. I am in Parakeet Palace in France. Just one fortnight left to go back home! I went to my sister, the know-it-all Katie.

“Hey Lan, come here lazy goose”, said my brilliant sister. She is a little overexcited. “How many times should I tell you don’t call me Lan. My name is Larry.” She doesn’t listen a word I say!
“Now come on, we have to go to museum, remember ?”

“Yeah, yeah, I do. Okay come on !”, was my reply.

We went to the museum located near the sea. Or is it, “Mom, where is it located ?”

“70˚S, 24′, brain head.”. Did I forget to mention my sister is the biggest brain head ?
The museum was located in the most beautiful place I’ve ever seen. It was like a Taj Mahal situated in the middle of a sea, mountains and green grass. Lots and lots of people were crowded in there.
It was a majestic museum. Centre was covered with a huge dinosaur skeleton and many ancient fossils. Most parts were laid with educational games or fun facts. The four corners were four plates protected with thick glass and passworded. I did not know why there was a huge protection for some simple plates.

“Dad, why is there a huge protection for some plates ?”, I asked. But my sister replied, “Those are the four legendary plates. Don’t you know the legend ?
I just stammered. “Oh brain head! Many yea -”

“Wait Katie, I will say”, my mother said.

“But you can’t Mary”, my father exclaimed.

“But – oh, okay, sorry. You continue Katie.”

“Many years ago, there was a very powerful king. He was treating people like slaves. Ever day, it was nightmare for the people. He ruled for 400 years as he had got a wish from Athena -”

“What wish ?”

“I’m coming to that”

“What he wished for is not known. But there is an assumption. Maybe he wished for ‘never death’. That is why he had lived for 400 years.”

“But then how did he die ?”

“He did not die, brain head, he was captured. Legend says that he was trapped in four golden plates.”

“So these are the four plates ?”

“Yes”
“But it is a legend, right?”

“No, it is true. It also says that he will be released one day and the world would be in the verge of destruction. Only the two chosen heroes can save the world.”
